ABOUT THE MARKET

The Hudson Farmers Market is a collaborative, volunteer-run effort dedicated to preserving the unique character of Hudson, Ohio. While we are proud to be a staple of the downtown community, the Hudson Farmers Market is an independent 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and is not affiliated with or funded by the City of Hudson. Our story began as a project of Leadership Hudson (Class of 2006-2007), a program sponsored by The Rotary Club of Hudson Clock Tower. Since then, the market has transitioned into its own self-sustaining nonprofit entity managed entirely by civic-minded residents and volunteers.

Our mission is to provide a self-managed platform that benefits local artisan producers, small businesses, and the surrounding community. Since opening in the summer of 2006 with 25 vendors, we have grown to host more than 40 vendor tents, all of which represent businesses located within a 100-mile radius of Hudson.

As a volunteer-led nonprofit, we rely on the support of our community to keep the market thriving. Your tax-deductible contributions go directly toward supporting local agriculture and the operational costs of our weekly markets.

“In Western Reserve Academy’s Bicentennial year, it is an honor to be featured on the Hudson Farmers Market poster,” said WRA Head of School Suzanne Walker Buck. “We consider the Farmers Market an extension of Reserve’s campus and a kindred spirit in fostering community, healthy living and joy.”
